Kitten hammock pile!

Well worth a stop along the way (152 Military Rd S, SeaTac, 98188). Open for 52 years!

And away we go.

Although this cat is male, with that Louis Vuitton handbag, I'm definitely calling him Miss Precious Perfect.

Say "hello" to Lady Gaga the cat--she's a Devon Rex.

He may not have any fur, but his name is Captain.

Serving hard time in Cat Prison.

Sleepin' against his plastic confines.

It's nice to get a scratch.

As we quickly learned, show cats <3 baby food...

...even though it is next to impossible for a regal Maine Coon to look dignified while eating baby food from a spoon.

Pam's coat matched this 4-month-old bengal kitten.

These cat show-ers are from Boise, but they make the Northwest rounds regularly (in matching cat vests). They had an award-winning all-brown (rare!) Norwegian Forest Cat. named Java.

There was a lot of grooming going on. This furball is getting his eyes cleaned...

...as is this mottled little guy.

This pixiebob's name is Frank.

And this is Mel. He has a rough life.

Poor Mel. It is so hard having one's fur groomed all the time.

Of course, Purrfect Pals were there, with all kinds of cute cats and kittens for adoption.

The bengal kitten competition was fierce.

That little guy on the right is the four-month-old previously seen with Pam.

Two more bengal kittens awaiting their turn in the judges' hands.

Judging a cat involves a thorough examination.

Making sure a cat is up to breed specifications.

This American shorthair silver tabby award winner deserves a treat of baby food.

Tongue out, eyes following a toy.

KITTIES.

Oh my god, you guys, I went to the Evergreen Cat Fanciers’ cat show at the Tukwila Community Center yesterday, and it was awesomely cute. It’s only $5 (with $1-off internets coupon), and it is well worth it for all the awwww-inspiring entertainment. Today’s the second and final day, so hie thee there before 4 p.m., if you are at all interested in cats and/or cat people.

Because half of the fun of a cat show is the cat people: those that feed their cats baby food, those that don matching outfits, those that clothe their cats. Everyone is eager to talk pussies and doesn’t mind you touching theirs. And these cats are used to being handled, so they are generally friendly, easygoing, and social. What more could one want? If you know cat breeds and cat breeders, check the specifics, and head to Tukwila for all these cute kitties, and more.
