Krk Nordenstrom, a filmmaker and photographer, spent more than a week on the road with Seattle’s favorite Balkan-influence punk band Kultur Shock, shooting a documentary. At Georgetown Art Attack this weekend, he’s presenting a selection of photography from the tour as a glimpse of what’s to come. Zoe | Juniper’s “A Crack in Everything” at On the Boards This Week

As the stage explodes with light, the company of four (three women, one man) dancers ups the tempo of the piece considerably in the upstage area, while Scofield herself performs a long left-to-right solo across the glass, spinning and moving herself slowly, the whole while tracing (parts of) her silhouette in a red marker on the glass. Within their work, Schaffner, Rose and Bridget Gunning, also known for her work with Manifold Motion, among others, present choreographically complex pieces in which the aerial component is applied, albeit in healthy doses, much like you might expect to find ballroom or folk incorporated into the palette of a contemporary dance work. Five Questions With Gerald Alejandro Ford

Five Questions With Gerald Alejandro Ford

My first solo show was my Cornish senior project and it was called EL ULTIMO COCONUT. It was about a Mexican American teen who was socially awkward and addicted to World of Warcraft. That show received the city of Seattle’s Smartventure grant and was used as the inaugural production of the newly formed Latino Theater Collective, eSe Teatro. I even made some money off of it, which is unheard of for Cornish Senior Projects. I expect to have even more success for Chicha. There is something about this character that people will love.
