Seattle’s dogs are estimated to be some 140,000-strong, with only 620,000 potential owners to go around. Looked at this way, Seattle’s dogs are biting well above their weight. This morning, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) arrived at Seattle’s Country Doctor clinic on Capitol Hill to announce that she’d arm-twisted the Obama administration into launching the Federal Basic Health Plan Option (FBHPO) in 2015. Keewatinawin was first shot twice with a Taser but both attempts were “ineffective,” and so the situation escalated, leading Seattle police to shoot him to death Tuesday night. Police have blamed his bulky clothes, but schizophrenic insensitivity to pain — a topic of frequent research — might seem to correlate with stories of those with paranoid schizophrenia being Tasered without apparent effect, until death.
