Julia Roberts gets to be the evil stepmother, sure, but she sure doesn’t look bad, which I attribute to diet, exercise, and digital wonderment not necessarily in that order. Her mirror alter ego looks like Julia Roberts with absolutely no imperfections whatsoever. And that’s the scariest thing in the whole picture.

It seems unnecessary to name Larry Crowne after the movie’s main character, our hero in this Recession Era fairy tale who loses his Walmart-ish job only to find himself. Just call it Starring Tom Hanks as Tom Hanks as Directed by Tom Hanks and be done with it. Because that’s exactly why people will see this movie.
