One of the fun things about soccer is all the competitions outside of the regular league season. For us Mariners fans, it’s World Series or bust (aka, bust). But even if the MLS season goes south, we Sounders fans can still look for potential glory elsewhere. One of these opportunities begins tonight.

Suddenly Stellar Sounders: Can They Hang With Man U?

It’s a nice time for the Sounders to reach the pinnacle of their offensive prowess, because they play legendary English team Manchester United on Wednesday.

“Man U,” as last year’s English Premier League champs are known from Aberdeen to Zanzibar, are doing their version of spring training by traveling around the U.S., playing exhibition games against U.S. teams.
