It reminds me a little of the Confuse-A-Cat services, but Saturday, February 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Woodland Park Zoo's animals are getting Valentine's Day treats. The break from the routine is good for the animals, and apparently figuring out how to get the smelt out of a frozen-juice heart is just what the river-otter doctor ordered in the way of stimulating leisure activities.

Besides the otters,  red pandas, gorillas, and snow leopards (see full list and feeding times below) will enjoy heart-shaped ice pops made of fruit juice, honey, strawberries, and cranberries, herbal bouquets, heart-shaped steaks, and more.

  • Golden lion tamarins 10:00
  • Snow leopards 10:30
  • Otters 10:30
  • Jaguar 11:00
  • Orangutans 11:00
  • Lemurs 11:15
