| What: | In 1970, a young Garrick Ohlsson won the Chopin International Piano Competition, and realized that you cannot ever play enough Chopin if you want to sell out recitals. This UW World Series program includes: Impromptu in F-sharp Major, Op. 36; Ballade in A-flat Major, Op. 47; Fantasie, Op. 49; Two Nocturnes, Op. 27; Scherzo No. 3 in C-sharp Minor, Op. 39; and 24 Preludes, Op. 28. Tickets are $37 general; $34 subscribers; $35 UW faculty/staff; and $20 students. |
