Don't Pee on the Sounders New Alternate Jerseys

Although it sort-of looks like they've already been peed on. Sorry to go all old-angry-middle-aged-sports-writer on you, but looks like the Oregon-Ducksification of sports jerseys is spreading. Okay, I'm done now. It's for the kids!

No Seth you are not grumpy, these are just disgusting color schemes all around.

In 20 years kids will not be shelling out their allowance money to buy throw back, vintage Sounders jerseys.

If MLS and the Sounders dont want to be punchlines at places like Deadspin or ESPN for that matter they need to get off the techno vomit Sci Fi band wagon. Boom.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but one of the greatest soccer teams in the world has been leading the charge on ugly alternate jerseys.

3rd uniforms in soccer are usually a bit strange.
Just read the opening statement from the press conference and it should make sense. Also, I wouldn't consider it an Oregon color, their yellow isn't nearly as brilliant.

"This is not gray or white. This is a bold statement, which I think most people familiar with the club would say we are prone to do. We definitely don't like to do things in a conservative or conventional manner. So this is another example for us where we've sort of pushed the envelope - done something that we think is bold. Some people may hate it. Some people will love it. But for sure people will notice it."
