That's a truck full of intrepid Weather Channeleers having a change of heart midstream, above. Though the rains have stopped, risk of flooding is still present, as rain and snow melt make their way downstream. (See King Co. river data here.) Dams are also releasing water as needed; Howard Hanson Dam's planned release will lead to a total of 7,000 c.f.s. on the Green River, and minor flooding of fields above Auburn. Amtrak train service between Portland and Vancouver, B.C., is halted until Tuesday, due to slides and slide risk; they're using buses to fill in. Altogether, 3.6 inches of rain fell at SeaTac over the weekend.
