Seattle Plays Hooky, Gets Extra Baseball

A crowd of 41,329, the Mariners' 4th-largest gathering of the year, came out for today's day game at Safeco Field. They're all getting extra baseball, as the game with the Chicago Cubs just went into the 10th inning. Those of you who think of sports only as something that fouls up traffic will want to take heed; the game will end after 3:45, spilling thousands of beer-soaked baseball fans out onto Downtown streets.
