Seattle was home to three great, tribal conferences this past weekend: the UW/LSU football game, Bumbershoot, and PAX 2009, which was sold out. More than 60,000 gamers hit the three-day festival. Publicola sent their GameNerd to cover what may be the world’s geekiest event. Jonathan Coulton gives you his PAX insider’s view here, but does not delve deeply enough (in my view) into his decision to replace “my monkey” with “Wil Wheaton.” Comedy biographers years from now will be left to speculate.
