What Color is Your Parachute? And Which Park Do You Fly In?

This was the scene at Cal Anderson Park today, over lunchtime. I'm not sure what the plan here is. But it's an attention-getter. UPDATE: Via Twitter, @ryanhealy comments: "It's technically a sail for kite surfing. You don't want to jump from a plane with that."

Parasail
You can use these for kite surfing, but they've been used for years as parasails. I flew one (tandem - I didn't have control) off the cliffs of Lima, Peru a few years ago.

A very peaceful and only marginally frightening way to tour. Why you'd have one in CA park, I have no idea.
