Rise Against and Bad Religion Rocked WaMu (Wait, is it STILL called WaMu?) Theater

[Ed.: Our go-to Flickr pool contributor had tickets to the Rise Against/Bad Religion show, and he shares a little of the experience with our readers here. Thanks, Shawn!]

On Tuesday night, WaMu Theater in SoDo hosted a bit of an historic show: Rise Against and Bad Religion, with Four Year Strong.

It’s kind of funny that for one of the first big tours Rise Against ever did, they were opening for Bad Religion. It says a lot about Bad Religion that they would choose now to open for Rise Against in support of them.

I personally hope Bad Religion gain a new fanbase from this tour. They certainly deserve it! Rather than playing to their typical crowd of hardcore fans, Bad Religion seemed to have a lot of fun being an opening band, and their set was a good mix of new and old tunes.

Rise Against pretty much rocked the place from start to finish. Playing one hit after another, the set didn’t disappoint! Rise Against was also very vocal about their tour’s support of Friends of Animals, who are on tour with the bands. Regardless of how you might feel about this particular org, it was refreshing to see a tour with a message.

Below are some of my favorite photos from the show:
