Vote on the Port of Seattle’s Centennial Video Contest

As we mentioned the other day, 2011 is the Port of Seattle’s centenary. One way they are marking the occasion is by sponsoring a video contest that King County schools participated in. Now there are seven semi-finalists, and the Port wants your vote for the People’s Choice Award. It’s only a little bit thrilling! Tuesday, May 11, is the last voting day!

In the Centennial Video Contest for Schools Playlist, you can view all 7 semi-finalists. After viewing each video, vote for your favorites by clicking the “thumb-up” icon below the playback box for the ones you like. Vote as much as you like and get your friends and families involved. You will pick the People’s Choice Award winner!

Without wanting to influence your vote, I can tell you that Port of Seattle Love, from the Islamic School of Seattle; and No Port, No Seattle, from an elementary school I can’t find the name of, are stand-outs. The former has a chipper Little-Rascals-Go-To-Islamic School quality, while the latter’s similarity to a professional corporate video is actually eerie. Here, see for yourselves:
