The quite excellent Seattle/Tacoma indie band Colonies has a new video called “Echoes” that we are very excited to premiere here on the SunBreak.

Coming from their forthcoming album Forest Floor (being Kickstarted through the next nine days; full disclosure, I donated to the campaign), “Echoes” is an upbeat, indie rock song led by the driving guitar parts. It should delight Vampire Weekend fans immensely. But it feels right coming at the tail end of the summer.

The band says, “The song ‘Echoes is all about exploring nature and falling in love. It’s about finding the balance between enjoying the moment and looking forward. The video explores a similar theme – how do you enjoy the moment when you know that you have limited time with someone you love?”

The video was directed and edited by band member Adrian Centoni. The stars are Claire Woodward and Christian Cuoco.
