Not much more needs to be said about Dave Hoefler‘s appropriately titled shot of a boy – and his dog at Alki. We just really enjoy how the object of the dog’s attention is out of sight. No one knows how far he paddled into the salty waters of Elliott Bay…or if he did at all.

We here at Glimpses may be partial to library glamour shots, but +Russ‘ shot of the Suzzallo Reading Room at the UW has that added bonus of balance-shifting grandeur combined with Gothic elegance. A full size version of this shot is worth viewing, too. Meanwhile, the Reading Room sits empty as sunlight streams in, waiting for spring quarter and students’ return.
